Research questions
- How does the rainfall, fog, and evaporation climate vary at different elevations within the cloud belt?
- How do rainfall- and fog interception differ between mature and regenerating cloud forests?
- How does soil water uptake differ between fog and non-fog conditions and between mature and regenerating cloud forests?
- What are the water budgets of mature and regenerating cloud forest and what are the implications of converting cloud forest to shaded coffee?
